2000 Watts RMS / 4000 Watts Peak Available in Dual 1 and Dual 2 Ohm Configurations Mega Roll Surround and Frame Etched All Black Backplate Quad Stack Magnet Structure The Sundown M-Series is an all-new "entry-level" subwoofer in our Mega series - all Mega series subwoofers (10,12,15,18) feature our custom tooled and patented frames (US Patent Numbers D691596, D691597, D691598, and D741841) and our Mega-Roll surround. When we say "entry-level" this is only by comparison to its big brothers in our own Mega line - X,Z,NS series and higher. The M series was built for intense bass with stellar low-frequency performance at industry-leading levels of low-distortion. It does this while looking amazing - with a new laser-etched back-plate design and special M-series magnet boot design. For the M-series we mate out Mega series frames to a quad stacked 200mm (7.87”) diameter motor structure with a total magnet stack height of 88mm (3.46”) featuring a hyper-extended pole and extreme clearances (allowing 59.5mm to mechanical bottom effectively making it bottomless - this is 4.68" peak-to-peak). At Sundown we always do things to the extreme so even our "entry" level M-series features a full 20mm thick top-plate to finish the efficient magnetic circuit. We did all of this while still optimizing the cost to offer the absolute best-value to our customers. This motor drives a 3" diameter 4-Layer Round Wire Aluminum Voice Coil wound on a thick aluminum former to incredible levels of excursion. The new coil in the M-series was developed for both the M and X v.4 series and features a very special winding (invented by Sundown for the X-8 series originally) that allows the best winding packing density in the gap for both the D1 and D2 options. This coil is so massive that it allows even our M-series to achieve a full 35mm one-way linear excursion. We are truly setting a new industry standard with the M-series. Based on Sundown's years of experience we've included our highly efficient high-stroke coil ventilation system developed for the X and Z series originally. The M-series features a high-velocity pole vent, a heavily vented magnetic gap through the back-plate, and our proprietary high-velocity cast-aluminum frame-base venting system. The M-series was designed from the ground-up to become the new standard in the low-frequency / small, ported box subwoofer category in this price range. Never before have we been able to offer such an incredible value in the Mega series. They will work in the same enclosure as our other Mega platform subwoofers, but the M-series also opens up the possibility for sealed and IB applications. This is something that was not well suited to any other previous Mega platform subwoofer. The M-series is really a different kind of woofer due to its incredibly linear suspension. They are designed for the LOWEST level of bass extension possible in a small enclosure while maintaining extremely low levels of distortion. This is all thanks to the Sundown Mega-Roll surround & proprietary Sundown PG linear suspension (fully computer optimized). As with most subwoofers from Sundown the M-series features a magnet inner-diameter aluminum shorting ring for superior inductive distortion performance as well. We are quite certain that the M-series will go down in car audio history as one of the best low-distortion subwoofers per-dollar of its time.

Here at Sundown Audio we take feedback from customers and dealers seriously. With the launch of the SA v.2 woofers we heard a lot of call to also keep the old version for lower depth / lower cost applications — so we did that via the “Classic” SA. Still available in 10's, 12's and 15's, it is essentially the SA v.1 Rev.3 but with a black motor finish. We even squeezed in an upgrade… the motor is bolted together for enhanced long-term durability! The Sundown SA series has been our most popular product line since the introduction of the SA-12 in 2009. It was the result of over a year of testing and prototyping until all of our goals and expectations were blown away. The SA series has continually evolved over the years thanks to extensive testing and feedback from our SPL competition Team and our customers but still stays true to its legendary design heritage. It has never failed to prove itself year-in and year-out in every application ranging from daily musical builds to all-out SPL competition vehicles. When designing the SA series we started out with an FEA optimized motor & coil design capable of 19mm of one-way Klippel verified excursion and just over 33mm of x-mech. This motor & coil setup was then mated up to an extremely robust double-layer Nomex spider with fully tied-on “XL” tinsel leads (84-Strands of Conductor), an SPL competition grade paper cone, and a strong foam surround. The motor also features a large magnet ID shorting ring (faraday ring) to reduce distortion causes by inductance & inductance variation over stroke. 300 Watts RMS/ 600 Watts Peak Dual 2 or 4 ohm voice coils Large aluminum Faraday ring for smooth acoustic response High-temperature voice coil wire Spring-loaded terminals Integrated vent channels for enhanced cooling Perfect for under/behind seat sub enclosures The SA-6.5SW was created to achieve extremely high performance with less than 4” of mounting depth. Sundown uses a solid-pole design, allowing the back plate to rest against the back wall of the enclosure to reduce the mounting depth requirements even more. Twenty millimeters of mechanical excursion means surprisingly deep bass out of this mighty 6.5” sub!

1250 Watts RMS / 2500 Watts Peak Dual 2 or 4 ohm voice coils Vented magnetic gap & pole piece Aluminum 2.75” voice coil former for superior heat dissipation Innovative high velocity, cast aluminum vented frame spacer ring Magnet ID faraday ring for smooth acoustic response High-temperature copper voice coil wire Spring-loaded terminals Stitched-on double “XL” tinsel leads This SA-10/12/15 v.2 series is a top-down upgrade from the original SA series. The 2.75” coil punches way above its weight, outperforming many 3” coils without the adding weight & with the added advantage of a wider spider. We are able to perfectly balance the mass, motor force, and suspension stiffness for the intended power level. The motor also features a large magnet shorting ring (faraday ring) to reduce distortion and deliver smoother response across the entire acoustic spectrum. The motor & coil setup is mated to an extremely robust multi-layer spider with fully tied-on & doubled-up “XL” tinsel leads. A competition-grade paper cone, strong foam surround, and cast aluminum frame are used to complete this masterpiece. On top of the ~19mm of one-way linear excursion we have an x-mech limit of 37mm one-way before coil bottom making it nearly "bottomless." The 18" model features a larger diameter motor to drive the higher mass.

SUNDOWN AUDIO E Series v.3 15 D2 Subwoofer: Since their introduction in 2012 the Sundown E series woofers have been known for their impressive bass response and high levels of dependability. Typical entry level woofers are highly limited in terms of linear excursion, mechanical ruggedness, and thermal performance – these are all aspects that we have taken to the next level in the Sundown E series. A double stacked magnet structure and an extremely long voice coil allow us to achieve a class-leading linear x-max of 14mm one-way in addition to high mechanical clearances (over 2” peak-to-peak). The large coil combined with gap venting, a vented voice coil former, and chamfered pole-piece design give the E Series impressive thermal performance. Mechanical stability and durability are addressed via the extremely strong competition-grade paper cone, rugged and over-sized foam surround, and a high quality spider with fully tied-on tinsel leads. All major areas of woofer durability have been addressed to the maximum level possible in this category. Bottom-line; if you are looking for a great subwoofer option and do not want to break the bank the Sundown E-Series woofers are for you. They are ideal for anyone from beginners to seasoned professionals seeking industry leading performance at a value price point.Features & Technology: Xmax = 14mm one-way by 70% BL RMS Power = 500-watts Vented magnetic gap Solid Pole piece with chamfered edges for increased air powered voice coil cooling Black Aluminum 2” voice coil former for superior heat dissipation High Temperature copper voice coil wire Spring Loaded Terminals Stitched-On Tinsel Leads to prevent fatigue and fa

RMS 400 watts 4 ohm voice coil Made for extremely deep bass Triple-stacked magnet 2.25” voice coil Hyper-extended pole Vented top plate Built to order Designed with an extended pole piece and an incredible four inches of peak-to-peak excursion, the X v.2 is engineered for ultra-deep bass and high power handling. Engineered to set a new standard in the low-frequency/small-ported-box subwoofer category, the X Series can also work in up to a 50% larger enclosure if you desire even more low-end extension. The X v.2 series differentiates itself with its incredibly linear suspension, ensuring the lowest level of bass extension in a small enclosure while maintaining extremely low levels of distortion. Notably, the v.2 series features a much larger motor structure (220mm vs. 190mm on the V.1 series), improved motor ventilation, and an all-new Mega-Roll v.2 surround, providing a more linear and rugged update to the world-famous Mega-Roll v.1 surround design.

1250 Watts RMS / 2500 Watts Peak Dual 2 or 4 ohm voice coil Triple-stacked magnet 2.5” voice coil Hyper-extended pole The X-8 v.4 is THE KING of standard cut-out size 8" subwoofers and it sets the standard for others to follow. It builds on the legacy of the v1, v2, and v3 models but definitively out-performs all previous generations. The secret sauce is largely in the painstakingly FEA optimized spider and surround. It's hard to overstate the impact of proper suspension design on a subwoofer but anyone who has used the X-8 v.4 can attest that we've nailed it here. Beyond the suspension - the X-8 v.4 is built on a newly revised version of our classic custom-tooled 8" frame. It represents the absolute maximum performance possible on this frame platform. The motor and coil are capable of ~20mm of linear x-max one-way and around 2.4" p-p before the coil leaves the gap (with a little beyond that before any physical bottom is reached). As with most of our subs it also features an aluminum magnet ID shorting ring for reduced inductive distortion as well as a few other secret Sundown tricks for distortion reduction!"

The Z v.6 is the second step up in Sundown's "ultra-high excursion" subwoofer lineup after the X v.3 series and replaces the world-famous Z v.5 series. All models (10,12,15,18) feature our custom tooled and patented frames (US Patent Numbers D691596, D691597, D691598, and D741841). Sundown mates these new platform frames to a quad stacked 240mm (9.45”) diameter motor structure with a total magnet stack height of 100mm (3.94”) featuring a hyper-extended pole and extreme clearances (allowing over 4" p-p travel before mechanical bottom effectively making it bottomless). Compared to the X v.3 motor both the top & back plates are thicker allowing for even more magnetic strength and excursion potential. For the Z v.6 the top plate is another 5mm thicker than even the outgoing Z v.5 series! This motor drives a 3" diameter 8-Layer Flat Wire Aluminum Voice Coil wound on a thick aluminum former to incredible levels of excursion. The Z v.6 now uses the same voice coil as the NS v.5 series. The Z v.5 utilized a 4-layer voice coil – the change to an 8-layer was to answer our customers desire for higher motor force (more output) and it does just that! Based on Sundown's years of experience with the Z v.4 and Z v.5 series we've also improved the voice coil ventilation to be even more effective. The Z v.6 features a high-velocity pole vent, a heavily vented magnetic gap, and (all new for the v.6) machined channels in four places around the pole piece itself. The Z v.6 series was designed from the ground-up to become the new standard in the low-frequency / small ported box subwoofer category in this price range. They will work in the same small enclosures that are commonly used for for Sundown Audio's subwoofers, although, they can be used with enclosures up to about 50% larger than those if you desire even more low-end extension. Features Power Handling:3250 Watts RMS / 6500 Watts Peak Xmax = 35mm one-way by 70% BL Heavily vented magnetic gap Spring Loaded Terminals Optimized high-velocity pole vent Innovative high-velocity cast-aluminum vented frame spacer ring Black aluminum 3 inch 8-layer voice coil Mega-Roll v.2 surround Custom tooled basket Large aluminum Faraday (shorting) Ring Stitched-On XL Tinsel Leads to prevent fatigue and failure Custom-tooled ultra-linear spider packs

The Z v.7 is the third step up in Sundown's 2025 "ultra-high excursion" sub-woofer lineup after the M and X v.4 series. All models (12,15,18) feature our custom tooled and patented frames (US Patent Numbers D691597, D691598, and D741841) – the Sundown “mega-platform.” Please note – the Z v.7 is not available, aside from special orders, in 10s due to the motor size. We mate these new platform frames to a quad stacked 265mm (10.43”) diameter motor structure with a total magnet stack height of 100mm (3.94”) featuring a hyper-extended pole and extreme clearances (allowing over 4" p-p travel before mechanical bottom effectively making it bottomless). This is, by far, the largest motor we have ever produced on a Z series sub-woofer. The motor force factor (BL^2/RE) is ~50% higher than the previous generation Z v.6 series. This motor drives a 3.3" diameter 4-Layer Round Wire Aluminum Voice Coil wound on a thick aluminum former. These new round wire coils use a special Sundown designed “fat wire” winding method to handle significant amounts of power and abuse. Based on Sundown's years of experience with the Z v.4, 5, and 6 series we've also improved the voice coil ventilation yet again. The Z v.7 features an entirely new and patent-pending airflow directing pole cap, six pole OD channels, SIXTEEN gap vents, and a cross-drilled / slotted top plate to keep the voice coil running cool under extreme conditions. The Z v.7 motor also features a 9mm thick magnet ID Faraday ring which is locked into both the top and back plates. This ring combined with an all-new pole-extension inductance sleeve gives the Z v.7 the most linear inductive performance of any mega-platform sub-woofer to date. As if all of this were not enough to cement the Z v.7as a legend... we were also able to achieve 42mm of one-way linear excursion by 70% BL with an extremely uniform curve via our extensively FEA optimized motor and 95mm long voice-coil winding length. The Z v.7 series was designed from the ground-up to become the new standard in the low-frequency / small, ported box sub-woofer category in this price range. They will work in the same enclosures that are commonly used for Sundown Audio's mega-platform sub-woofers. The Z v.7 series, like its other mega-platform brethren, is really a different kind of woofer due to its incredibly linear suspension.
