This sub is built around a black aluminum 2.75" 4-layer round-winding voice coil with a massive 30mm Xmax, giving it incredible excursion and power handling for its size. Every component is engineered for airflow and cooling: from the optimized high-velocity pole vent to the cast-aluminum vented frame spacer ring and heavily vented magnetic gap. Add in stitched XL tinsel leads, a Mega-Roll v.2 surround, custom spider packs, and a large aluminum Faraday ring, and you’ve got a sub that’s made for real-world abuse and long-term performance. Designed specifically for ported enclosures (sealed not recommended), the Z8 thrives in a 1.0 cu. ft. net enclosure tuned to 32Hz.
