We went with a real carbon-fiber cone to handle high SPL systems without breakup, and achieved a 94dB sensitivity by combining a large diameter, high-strength ferrite motor with a neodymium pole-cap magnet! A sturdy cast-aluminum frame features extensive spider cavity vents to further increase thermal power handling. The Sundown Audio VEX is one of the loudest, best-sounding high-efficiency midrange drivers in existence.
