I have had an interest in car audio since I was a teenager in the early 90s. In those days, I ran U.S.Amps along with Orion XTR subs, Clarion head unit, along with Clarion miss/highs. Now I’m 50 years old, with kids & other responsibilities, my budget is limited, but my love for SPL has never changed. Over the past 6 years I have managed to cobble together a few subs and amps, and the best Sony head unit Walmart had on clearance. My car is a 2008 Toyota Corolla, that takes me to work 4 days a week, 185 miles round trip every day, and has racked up 220k and is less than a show piece. I haven’t had a vehicle on the meter since the 90s, and I would like to see what this car will do, but, I’m reluctant to roll up amongst a pile of well built systems, proper enclosures, and high end equipment and turn on my budget/less expensive stereo, as my patience for being trashed on social media is not super high. I work night shifts in Lexington, depending on hours of event, I will definetly be there, if nothing else, to spectate and enjoy a demo of available. If no one is looking, I’d love to put my “Skarbage” 12s on the meter and see if they will eek out double digits. 👀
