This is going in my sons 2020 Malibu with 2 Rockford Fosgate P3’s powered by Rockford Fosgate R2 1200X1 @ 1ohm giving 600watts rms to each sub. Only downside, if you are using the P3’s you won’t be able to fit the rings. The subs are so close together the outer part touches so no room at all to install the rings. I would recommend asking them to move the cutouts another 1in if possible. 5 Really good prefabricated enclosure! Currently, I am using this with two American Bass Elite 12s on an Audio Apex CAB-22. It plays from 25hz all the way to around 55hz. I had to use a ratchet strap and two heavy duty suction cups to keep the rear doors from moving as much. 3 Nothing special Posted by Shawn Robertson on May 23, 2024 With a $500 MSRP and a $300 price on sale I was expecting more than just a run of the mill prefab. The box came with a dent on one the face boards that hold the subwoofer panels and it is pretty obvious it was just sprayed over and wasn't a shipping problem. There are multiple runs in the coating and the coating isn't thick enough to hide the seams. The sub cutouts are slightly misaligned and are at least a 1/4" wider than spec's which is an issue I'll have to work around for my subs. The sub mounting are is nice and thick but unfortunately it is attached in the box instead of over the supporting walls. The logo looks cool but unfortunately it is upside down if you have your speakers pointing up. A speaker lead pre-wired in the box would have been nice. I haven't had a chance to hear it yet because I have to buy additional parts to have a good secure mounting surface. Hopefully it makes my subs sound better than the $200 skar box it is replacing and I can come back and say it was all worth it but I'm pretty disappointed now 5 Best Bang For Your Buck! It's A little small on the cubic feet. It was too small for my TXX-BDC4S they got way louder in my Q-bomb box with a huge port. So I don't think any heavy or large subs that require air space would sound "loud" in this box. BUT i ended up putting my Girls P3s in this box and put in her 2020 Malibu on 800 watts and let me tell you this thing BEATS! I'm very impressed her windshield flexes. It's double baffled and has bracing. Awesome box for a trunk for sure. I upgraded to a custom built 2.5 per side box with 2 vfx 12s on an RP4500 in my jeep and it's loud, and these P3s in this box still impress the hell outta me every time I take her car. Only improvement would be a wider port and larger box. They have a bigger triple baffle box but it was way to expensive for me. 1 POOR QUALITY PREFAB‼️ Posted by Cesar Menchaca on Jul 11, 2023 This is going to be that review that’ll probably get denied but let me save y’all money from buying this I couldn’t be more disappointed and pissed off Re writing an update on this box since i barley purchased this prefab back in march 2023, where do I even start lmao this box didn’t even last a year nor past 5 months. The box is still in its shape no physical damage but rattles like crazy even at very low volume. I thought my subs were blown but the sound is coming from this box and sounds like absolute shit. Not even the prefab I had before this one did that lol. NO I didn’t put an overweight sub than the required specifications for this box, I had 2 American bass XFLs and this box couldn’t even handle them decent weight subwoofers like this box falsely advertised . also I had to over sand the cut outs to make my subs fit. NO THEY DONT FIT MOST SUBS‼️the design is nice but the quality was never there. 100% regret wasting my money on this box now I have a custom enclosure being built to replace this shit. Im done buying from D4S y’all overhype your products too much when the quality isn’t there? Next View All Close
