Apply the Soundskins Pro 10"x12" sheet to the area around the speaker mounting location. If the full sheet doesn't fit, cut of the excess and apply pieces to adjacent areas. This will help tame annoying and performance-degrading door-panel resonance around the speaker. Cut out a round or oval opening for your new speaker to fit through, making sure screw locations are not obstructed. Apply the round or oval cut-out section through the mounting hole to the surface behind the speaker opening, then attach the Wavy Foam backing sheet to the location directly behind the speaker. This combination will help kill the sound-muddying backwave coming off the rear of your new speaker. Lastly, attach the speaker rings to the outside frame of the new speaker before re-attaching your door panel. The rings will help direct all the speaker's output into your vehicle.
