Posted by Donnie S on Oct 20, 2025 For the price, this is a pretty stellar set. The 6.5 midbass driver is pretty much perfect from 80hz and up. It can be crossed lower but you will reach mechanical limits quicker. Excellent depth and tonal balance on the driver. The 3” midrange is pretty neutral and very natural sounding. The only thing I’d change is ditching the spade terminals and go with screw type ones like on the crossovers. Push terminals would be too bulky obviously. The tweeter is a weee bit bright, this is usually the case for a metal dome. It can be very aggressive for some and it would be very nice if there was a choice for a silk dome option. The tweeter can be Tamed with some Eqing but still has a sharper sound to it. Sound is purely subjective and many may prefer this, but there are many that would prefer a silk dome offering. A set of grills for the 6.5” and 3” would make this an epic deal! One une w bookshelves and one in a center channel (overkill, I know) and they're phenomenal. My car has Zapco amps, W7 subs, diamond d9 speakers, yada and yada. There (like most of this insane mans stuff) is waaaay underpriced. I'm running active with the D4S DSP. Only reason for 4 stars is i think the woofers and midrange should come with with some screens. The mid bass is tight and accurate, the mid range is clear and works great on axis and the tweeter is crisp and bright enough without being harsh or too sharp.
