I just sat one of these in my door of the PSYCHOTIC CIVIC and let me tell you the clarity and mid bass that comes out of these is nothing short of BADASS!! I finally got them installed and set up today . They sound great and look great. I have 4 of them in my SUV powered by a JL audio HD 400/4. I also own a jp 23ab and jp234 ( I think I got the model numbers right its so many of them lol). I wanted to put the jp23ab on them but the amp is too large for the space I was trying to use. Speakers came with screws and other hardware for mounting and some sticky stuff I wasn't sure what to do with. No instructions in the box or manual for the speakers. I wish the speakers had notches to attach to the grill plate, that would help with ease of installation. The grills are solid except for the middle piece is glued to the wire which if your not careful it will push out, which I did. Also the grills are difficult to set into place. If they are warped or bent in anyway you will have to work them into place. The edges are sharp too so ne careful. I am disappointed that while trying to fit the darn grill on it contacted the surround of the speaker and put two small tears in it. The surround is paper thin. I couldn't believe it tore like that. Hopefully it has not affect on the performance but thats not a premium product as JP says in the video in my opinion just average. My pioneers I had back in the day were not thst thin. But this is not a negative review just stating facts and what an honest consumer had to deal with. I have purchased about 7 amps from D4S so I really like the company. I tried these speakers because and the price and you know what they say so I won't say it. Overall, I still give them a 4 out of 5 because they do sound good which matters just not sure if they will hold up. I ordered these a few months ago and they arrived the packaging was perfect!! I opened them up and WOW!!!!! These are some of the best we'll built speakers I've ever seen period!!
