Unlike typical coaxial speakers, the RAGE15CXP combines a dedicated 15" midrange woofer with a compression driver, giving you the punch of a pro audio mid and the clarity of a horn driver in one speaker. Each speaker features a large 2.5" aluminum voice coil on the midwoofer and a 1.75" aluminum voice coil in the compression driver, allowing the speaker to handle 400 watts RMS while maintaining clarity at high volume levels. Because the midwoofer and compression driver are separate components, the RAGE15CXP can be bi-amped. This allows installers to power the woofer and compression driver separately for greater tuning flexibility and system control. For simple installations, each speaker also includes a capacitor designed to block low frequencies from reaching the compression driver.
