The factory proved to weak to power them, so I needed small, compact, yet with decent power. The MM1002 fit the bill just nicely. With it expanded x-over settings, in which I was able to tune it to a bandpass setting, to keep the ultra lows out, but to fill the midbass just. It doesn't get hot, provides great power, sound rather well, despite its lower price point. This is my 3rd D4S amp, and wont be the last. Don't let the size fool you, this amp drives them speakers loud and clean.
