The G series 240 amp alternator for 88-95 GM truck is based on a late model large case GM frame that has been custom machined to bolt in place of the original small frame CS130 alternator. Reasonably priced and very durable, these units feature solid copper custom rectifiers for great durability. This custom designed housing directly replaces standard CS130 "left mount" alternators as used on 1987-1995 Chevy C1500 Pickups and some aftermarket accessory drives. A single wire on the provided pigtail gets connected to any ignition switched 12V+ source to turn the alternator on and off with the ignition switch. Simply run a properly sized positive and ground cable from the alternator to the terminals of the battery and the alternator will work perfectly, regardless of what kind of wiring harness you have. This 320 amp S Series small case alternator is all about max power and is not designed to charge at low idle speeds. THE WAIT IS OVER!!! A true 300+ amp alternator for the SOHC Ford Modular Engine family can now be utilized in a real-world application. We have 100% solved the poor belt wrap that has held this platform back for years. Since the early 2000's these V8 & V10 SOHC engines have had some of the worst belt wrap for an upgraded high output alternator. With the belt only touching appx. 1.2" of effective pulley surface area, this left little to no grip needed to properly operate a high output alternator over 250 amps. This is having been the reason we are one of if not the only manufacturer to limit our selection to just a 250-amp version for so long. We either do it right or not at all. There are many different fitments and brackets throughout the years on the engines, but we have chosen to include all the necessary brackets, hardware and pertinent items needed to mount this alternator CORRECTLY. Correctly in this case means with a properly designed upper bracket area to eliminate alternator flex and belt deflection. You may or may not need all hardware/brackets included to install on your application. We chose to provide all that would be needed just in case of mid-year changes or fitments that has been discovered. (see all included items in picture gallery) This is THE ONLY alternator of its kind like this in the world for this platform and proves that we look to innovate and not duplicate like our competition. This style alternator was used by many boat manufacturers from the late 1960's through 2018. (check the technical drawing against the measurements of your stock alternator to see if this unit will fit your application) This alternator comes with a simple single wire pigtail plug included. Simply connect an ignition switched 12V+wire from the original alternator plug to the supplied alternator plug for proper function. This unit features (12) diodes and twin rectifier plates for excellent durability with high-end audio installations. The included 6 groove serpentine pulley measures 2 inches. This unit meets or exceeds SAEJ1171, ISO 8846, and USCG Title 33 standards for ignition protection.

Highly efficient, these units use less horsepower than conventional 3 phase alternators. 12 diodes, twin rectifier plates and outstanding airflow ensure long service life, even in severe conditions. These units are available for a broad range of domestic and import applications in 170, 240, or 320 amp configurations. The 240 amp model offers the best balance between peak output, and output at engine idle RPM.Installation Notes: This unit comes equipped with a smaller 1.75 inch diamter alternator pulley, and will require a slightly shorter drive belt for proper belt tension.

Highly efficient, these units use less horsepower than conventional 3 phase alternators. 12 diodes, twin rectifier plates and outstanding airflow ensure much better durability than standard Delco CS130 based alternators, even in severe conditions. This custom designed housing directly replaces standard CS130 "left mount" alternators as used on 1987-1995 Chevy C1500 Pickups and some aftermarket accessory drives. A single wire on the provided pigtail gets connected to any ignition switched 12V+ source to turn the alternator on and off with the ignition switch. Simply run a properly sized positive and ground cable from the alternator to the terminals of the battery and the alternator will work perfectly, regardless of what kind of wiring harness you have. Because of their compact size and standard GM mounting ears, these alternators also work well in many aftermarket or custom bracket installations.
