Ascendant Audio

Ascendant Audio was founded in Las Vegas by Chad Kuypers, who later went on to start Epik subwoofers. The brand gained recognition in the mid-2000s for hand-built subwoofers before partnering with legendary speaker engineer Scott Atwell (creator of RE Audio's XXX series and Fi Car Audio). Under Atwell's direction, Ascendant shared designs with Fi Car Audio—Ascendant for dealers, Fi for direct-to-consumer. Products included the Arsenal (500W daily driver), Havoc (1,250W+ performance), and Mayhem series, all featuring cast aluminum baskets and FEA-optimized motors. The brand appears dormant since the mid-2010s, likely absorbed into Fi Car Audio's operations.
